1. JOIN A CLUB

All coaches must be associated with a chartered club.


2. COMPLETED CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK

All Boxing BC coaches shall provide a criminal record check upon initial registration and every five years thereafter for convictions of crimes against children and/or convictions of sexual assaults. The information may be obtained through a local RCMP office. This form is to be submitted with the membership application.

New coaches MUST have a Vulnerable Sector CRC that is dated within the last 2 years and have it attached to the form.

For renewing coaches, Vulnerable Sector CRC must be within 5 years.


3. COMPLETED MAKING ETHICAL DECISIONS COURSE AND ONLINE EVALUATION

All Boxing BC coaches are required to have completed the MED (Making Ethical Decisions) Course and Online Evaluation.

4. COMPLETED COACHING COURSE

Required Course: Competition Introduction

Coaches holding an “In Training” status in the Competition Introduction course are eligible to serve as the top-end corner at Boxing BC club shows.

Please note that higher certification levels are required for Provincial and National Championships. Depending on the event and year, coaches must hold “Trained” or “Certified” status, along with completion of any additional required courses.

5. REGISTER ONLINE

Registration is handled online. You will be asked to submit a scanned copy of your criminal record check if this is a new registration.

Payment is handled online via credit card. Please check fee schedule.

Registration years run September 1st to August 31st annually. Memberships are valid for this period and must be renewed every September.
