BOXING BC BOARD
Boxing BC is the governing body for amateur boxing in the province of British Columbia. It is sanctioned by Boxing Canada (CABA), the International Boxing Association (AIBA), and viaSport BC.
Our purpose is to provide the residents of British Columbia access to and participation in the opportunities, programs and activities of amateur boxing.
Boxing BC shall recognize and support the goals of each individual member and provide the opportunity to instill in the members confidence, self-esteem, respect for others, a sense of discipline and concepts of fair play and sportsmanship that all communities shall benefit.
The board is made up of officers elected by voting members and those appointed by the board. The Board of Directors are concerned with issues and decisions related to the long-term direction, sustainability, and relevance of Boxing BC.


VALUES
These statements shall form the values held by Boxing BC and reflect the ideals of the Society that the programs and opportunities provided shall benefit all member athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers:
- Opportunities shall be positive, enjoyable and educational in an environment free from harassment and abuse
- Participation shall be devoted to safety, physical conditioning and character building
- Respectful communication shall be honest and open with issues and problems being dealt with in a professional and un-biased manner
- Integrity, sportsmanship and excellence shall produce pride-filled results in all areas of participation
Boxing BC’s Board of Directors
The Board of Directors of the Association shall be the Officers of the Society and shall, with the exception of the Past President and appointed positions, be elected for two-year terms by the Voting Members of the Association as specified in Section 7.

PRESIDENT
Chairman of all Boxing BC and Executive/ Board Meetings, is a member ex-officio of all Committees
and the Association’s representative to the National body.

JON QUINIT
2ND VICE PRESIDENT
Shall assume the duties of President in the absence of both the President and the 1st Vice President. Assist the President with Executive Committee duties.

JASON HEIT
3RD VICE PRESIDENT
Shall assist the President in fulfilling his/ her duties as required. Shall assume the duties of the President
in the absence of the President, 1st and 2nd Vice Presidents.

MEHRAN BAGHAIE
TREASURER
Shall oversee maintenance of the financial records of the Society and shall have an accounting
background or similar designation satisfactory to fulfilling the duties required.

JEFF LALJEE
CHIEF OFFICIAL
Shall be a Level 4 Official or higher and will be elected by Boxing BC Officials.

DR. MALCOM RONDEAU
MEDICAL DIRECTOR
The Medical Director shall advise and make
recommendations to the Board and Executive on matters concerning health and safety in the
sport of amateur boxing within the Province of British Columbia.

JESSE PINEIRO
PROVINCIAL HEAD COAH
Responsibilities include team selection criteria; athlete
recruitment; developmental camps; the selection of travelling teams and talent identification.

Appointed by the Board of Directors to provide expertise on the Organization’s High-Performance program.

Shall represent the general male athlete membership.

FEMALE ATHLETE REPRESENTATIVE
Shall represent the general female athlete membership.

Duties as defined in organization by-laws or as needed to fulfill Board requirements and address overall organizational goals.

DIRECTOR OF DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION
Shall assist the Association in continued policy development and education on diversity and inclusion as relates to underrepresented groups.
